2. CWA neutralization methods
In CWA treatment, a distinction is made between destruction and neutralization. The former consists of an irreversible step enabling total elimination of the CWA, generally under extreme conditions, requiring heavy specific equipment (typically pyrolysis). Neutralization, on the other hand, is a potentially reversible chemical treatment (leading to a possible CWA precursor), but under less drastic conditions.
