Water electrolysis is an electrochemical process that breaks down water into hydrogen and oxygen using an electric current. This process is used to produce decarbonated hydrogen when the electrical energy source is decarbonated.
Catalyseur ; Catalyst
A catalyst is a substance or material that increases the speed of a chemical reaction without being consumed by it. It acts by lowering the activation energy required, enabling the reaction to take place more rapidly. In the case of electrochemical reactions, this is referred to as an "electrocatalyst".
