Atomization; spray drying

Method of dehydrating a liquid in powder form by spraying it into a stream of hot air.

Compressibility

Capacity of a powder bed to reduce its volume under the effect of mechanical stress.

Compatibility; tabletability

Ability of a powder or a mixture of powders to form a tablet under the effect of mechanical stress.

Excipient; excipient

Substance associated with the active ingredient of a drug, whose function is to facilitate administration, preservation and transport of the active ingredient to its site of absorption.
