5. Conclusion
The pressure parameter is certainly the least studied in the physical chemistry of organic systems, as it is more difficult to implement than heating, catalysis or even light, due to the associated technical problems and costs. This is why hyperbaric activation has remained relatively unknown, despite some particularly interesting features such as its low energy consumption, the possibility of using sterically hindered substrates that are generally inert, the often enhanced cleanliness and selectivity of processes that take place under these conditions, or the facilitated recovery of products. Most of these advantages, which are specific to green chemistry, are among the characteristics now demanded of the chemical industry, and should therefore encourage reconsideration of this mode of activation, even on a large scale.
