5. Conclusion
Looking at the examples in this dossier from a purely contemplative point of view, it's clear that a cross-disciplinary approach to chemical science skills enables us to chisel matter at all its scales. What must take precedence in an approach associated with the concept of integrative chemistry is not the existence of a specific pre-established field of competence, but rather a function or polyfunctionality to be achieved, on which the necessary skills (or expertise) must depend. In this sense, integrative chemistry appears as a kind of "toolbox" from which we can pragmatically draw the instruments needed to build complex structures with pre-established properties.
