Starch

Starch is a complex carbohydrate composed of D-anhydroglucopyranose units (AGU) that belongs to the polysaccharide family and has the general chemical formula (C ₆ H ₁₀ O ₅ ) _n . AGU units are linked together by α bonds (1 → 4).
