6. Conclusion

The implementation of any organic synthesis under microwave conditions requires, first and foremost, precise knowledge of the dielectric properties of the medium. The thermal behavior of a heated material generally depends not only on the variation in dielectric losses, but also on the strength of the applied electric field. It is important to know or control these two parameters to optimize operating conditions and microwave processes.
