5. Conclusion and outlook

The reactions described in this article illustrate the wide range of applications for solvent-free reactions. Processes using a liquid reagent are generally accepted conceptually by chemists. Solid-gas and solid-solid reactions, on the other hand, still encounter resistance. However, the growing number of publications in this field bears witness to a resurgence of activity, with applications in all branches of chemistry.

Although some of these processes are used on a large scale, their effectiveness is not diminished when working on a laboratory scale, and we would like to see them developed and used in these environments, especially as the equipment required is often inexpensive.
