7. Economic study

Before building or expanding a compressed air system, it's a good idea to carry out an economic study of the various options available.

7.1 Investment costs

It includes costs :

  • buildings and easements (power, water, sewerage connections, etc.) ;

  • production and processing equipment;

  • transmission and distribution networks.

The annual depreciation is deducted from this, depending on the cost of the money and the depreciation period, from 5 to 30 years depending on the case, and sometimes even less in the case of a site installation (duration of the site's life); in the latter case, the residual value of the recoverable...
