3.1 Vocabulary
Before going into the detailed description of the main parts, and without being exhaustive, here is a list of terms used to designate these parts, some of which are specific to slow-moving engines. The table 3 shows the English and French designations, sometimes several for the same part, in relation to the markings on the figure 10 of a modern engine with electronic injection control.
