3.1 Notions on sealing
Two types of sealing can be considered on a valve:
external tightness (§ 3.1.2.1 ) – This must be optimum, as the device enclosure falls within the scope of the "Pressure Equipment Directive" (EU 97/23/EC), and this external tightness must enable the enclosure to be tested for mechanical strength;
