5. Computational noise prediction
Noise prediction remains a difficult problem, requiring considerable computing resources. It can only be done on an approximate basis. We will deal here only with the 2 main lines encountered on a pump:
the line at rotation speed N, of mechanical origin ;
the line at frequency n r N (scrolling of the impeller blades).
