5. Conclusion

The decarbonization of mobility and stationary power units must become the new model to be favored in view of the pressing energy, climate and health challenges of the 21st century, even if we are obviously not in a position to predict the timescale of this new decarbonized paradigm.

We must not see these requirements as constraints, but as conditions to be met in order to bring about a virtuous model that will enable us to breathe and live better in the coming decades, without every gesture being seen as an act of destruction of living things. This was the spirit of former UN Secretary General Mr. BAN KI MOON, who declared in November 2014 "There is a myth that climate action will be very expensive, while inaction will be much more expensive".
