3. Faucets

Valves are used in vacuum technology for three main purposes:

• sectioning or isolating a circuit ;

• gas flow adjustment ;

• atmospheric pressurization of the enclosures.

Valve technology differs according to their purpose and, above all, according to the vacuum range required. While there is little difference in design between high vacuum and industrial vacuum, ultra-high vacuum uses very specific equipment and materials, so we'll deal with it separately 3.2 ....
