5. Conclusion

Dynamic joints can be classified according to the nature of the movement between mechanical parts into two categories: linear joints, which are the subject of this article, and rotary joints, which are dealt with in [BM 5 420] .

A wide range of dynamic translational seals is available. The choice of a sealing solution depends on the system's operating and environmental conditions, as well as the permissible leak rate and desired service life.
