2. Numerical simulation results

Two quite different geometrical configurations have been considered, with specific conditions applied to each case. However, these conditions have been simplified to simplify the presentation. On the other hand, the most significant curves have been selected to illustrate the specific behavior of toothed belt drives.

2.1 DV4 engine

Figure 27 shows the geometry of all six pulleys and the main numerical data. This engine front-end comprises three driven elements: the camshaft, an injection pump and a water pump.
