In-service monitoring consists in the continuous or periodic observation of operating parameters that characterize the state of the equipment. It is one of the components of equipment maintenance. It enables :

  • alert the operator by detecting damage at an early stage, in order to avoid serious damage to equipment;

  • help optimize equipment maintenance (condition-based maintenance);

  • improve knowledge of equipment behavior and help to understand degradation processes, by analyzing monitoring...
