2. Product life cycle – From object to object

If we consider the original field of manufacturing product development, which we have already touched on, there too applications have multiplied. From presentation prototypes for communications or marketing departments, to product maintenance through rapid re-industrialization of spare parts, rapid tooling, customization and so on, every department in the company is now likely to use the 3D scanning – rapid prototyping pair, and even more so for rapid product development.

Throughout the product lifecycle, digital tools are key to bridging the gap between 3D scanning and rapid prototyping technologies. The user must take into account his position in the product life cycle, as well as the needs of the other development players involved.
