5. Examples of manufactured parts

Here we illustrate the great potential of the micro-stereolithography process for materials filled with ceramic powder. The objects presented show the diversity of shapes obtained and give an idea of the level of detail that can be achieved.

5.1 Parts of medical interest

Figure 11 a shows a catheter tip designed for medical applications, fitted with a gripping arm. It is approximately 3.5 mm high and has an external diameter of 1 mm. It is made up of 120 layers of 18 µm thickness (material A) and was manufactured in less than an hour.
