4. Applications

4.1 INZAT trial

This test, representative of a welding test, was developed at INSA Lyon to validate various calculation models as part of a research program involving several laboratories in the Rhône-Alpes region, as well as Framatome ANP, EDF, CEA and BCCN.

This is a disk heated at its center by a CO ₂ laser so as to obtain axisymmetrical loading and thus be able to carry out fairly simple simulations (figure 11 ).
