6. Conclusion
Aeronautics is the preferred field of application for Additive Manufacturing, insofar as every part of a flying machine can be "rethought" with regard to this type of process, leading to significant weight savings. A number of activities, such as optimized design and reduced assembly, are leading manufacturers to develop new production concepts and position themselves in new markets.
In this way, the aerospace industry contributes to a strong integration of AF, making it extremely versatile. There is now a wide range of materials available and technologies that are still evolving, for which aeronautics is exploring new applications ranging from creation to end-of-life repairs.
While we haven't yet covered all the fields in which AF can be used, it's clear that the aeronautical sector remains the preferred one.
