4. State of play in the aerospace sector

4.1 Corporate strategy

FA for metal parts is considered a "breakthrough technology" by aerospace manufacturers.

Generally speaking, the application and complexity of the part determine the type of technology to be used. For parts of moderate size and complexity, the LBM technique is the most appropriate, while larger parts tend to require deposition techniques (powder or wire).
