AGR casings are made of prestressed concrete; they vary from site to site (figure 18 ) and depend on the designer, MAGNOX experience and initial AGR commissioning. There are single-cavity casings (table 8 ) and honeycomb casings, better suited to an organization that takes into account radiation protection, cooling and thermal insulation of components, and retained for the latest installations.
