4. Protection and control systems

4.1 Protection system

The following parameters are measured for analysis by the plant control system:

• output temperature of fuel channels ;

• primary circuit system outlet temperature ;

• neutron flux level ;

• neutron doubling time ;

• gas flow velocity ;

• blower supply voltage ;

• blower operating speed ;

• the position of the fan blades.

For each parameter, 4 measurements are taken. The logic used is 2/4 to activate the reactor shutdown system.
