1. Driving procedures

1.1 Normal driving

Normal operation covers all normal plant operations (electricity production, unit shutdown and startup, fuel replacement, etc.), as well as the incidental operation of equipment making up a basic system. Normal operation is based on control room information (alarms, indicators, recorders), instructions and operator know-how.

These tasks are :

  • overall monitoring of the unit's parameters and the status of its various functions under steady-state conditions, by taking a number of readings;

  • actions to be carried out to change the state of the unit (e.g. from cold shutdown after recharging to full power); normal operating procedures are based on "top hat" procedures...
