The conversion activity is carried out in the plants of Comurhex, a 100% subsidiary since 1992 of the Cogema group, which became Areva in 2001:
in Malvesi, reception and storage of uranium concentrates from all over the world. The current process includes the steps of solvent purification preparation of UO 3 by the ammonia route, conversion UO 3 into UF 4 ;
at Pierrelatte, electrolysis of HF and conversion of UF 4 into UF 6 .
