5. Our advice

5.1 Meet the requirements

To meet the requirements of NF EN 16247, the first decision audit must be carried out by a firm or expert certified by COFRAC.

The following audits can be carried out in-house, provided that a member of your company has been trained in accordance with the requirements of standard NF EN 16247 – 5.

The audit report must be submitted to ADEME's dedicated platform.

You can also consider ISO 50001 certification, to avoid the need for an audit every four years.

Finally, we recommend that you disseminate the corrective actions carried out after the audit within your company, in order to encourage changes in staff behavior.
