Decarbonization of rail freight; rail freight decarbonization

A set of technological, economic, and regulatory strategies aimed at reducing, or even eliminating, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and air pollutants associated with the operation of freight trains.

Total Social Cost (TSC)

An economic indicator that incorporates the total cost of ownership (TCO) for the operator, external environmental and health costs (TEC), and the impact on public finances, in order to assess the overall impact of a transportation solution.
