1. How can we identify decarbonated sources of electricity?

A decarbonated source is one that produces with low CO 2 emissions. Today, there are eight decarbonated sources:

  • hydroelectricity, whose energy source is water (rivers, snowmelt, tidal power, ocean currents, etc.);

  • wind power, whose energy source is the wind;

  • photovoltaic solar energy, whose energy source is the sun;

  • thermodynamic solar energy, whose energy source is the sun;

  • biomass, whose energy sources are wood and waste ;

  • geothermal energy, whose source of energy is the heat of the earth;

  • nuclear energy, whose energy source is uranium;

  • green hydrogen, biomethane,...
