6. Conclusion
The development of district heating has varied from country to country. These differences in development are due to a number of factors, the most important of which are the structure of primary energy resources and the energy policies applied by the various countries. Current advances in energy equipment have led to an expansion in the use of cogeneration for heat supply. It's worth noting that high energy performance can be achieved even at low, or even very low, unit capacities, leading to smaller thermal networks (decentralized energy production). In the future, as the optimum density of consumption decreases and the degree of centralization is reduced, followed by the use of renewable energies, it is estimated that the number of centralized heat supply systems will increase.
