6. Sulfur production

Sulfur recovery units (SRUs) are essential stages in most gas treatment plants, as in most countries there is a legal requirement to minimize emissions of sulfur dioxide and other sulfur compounds. Figure 38 shows an example of a sulfur chain arrangement.
