 INTRODUCTION

The boiler is made up of a succession of heat exchangers, each with a specific, invariable geometry and surface area, whose heat exchange is governed by complex physical laws. An additional complication is that any change in the behavior of one device has an effect on the device downstream, whether in the flue gas circuit or in the heated fluid circuit.

Note :

Boiler design and calculation is the subject of several articles:

  • General information and balance sheets ;

  • Foyer and circulation ;

  • Heat exchangers and air/flue gas circuits ;

  • Behavior and performance ;

as well as documentation common to all .
