 INTRODUCTION

In terms of consumption, electrothermal energy is the second most important application of electricity in industry, after rotating machinery. Since 1987, a new resistor concept has been gaining a solid reputation: the current-passing tube or TPC. More than a resistor, the TPC is an electrical exchanger.

This technique combines the advantages of electricity (simplicity, flexibility, precision) with the performance of heat exchangers (large exchange surface area, good transfer coefficient).

Far more than a simple heater, the TPC is equally suited to the treatment of chemicals, gases, sensitive food fluids and powders, as well as evaporation and chemical reaction...
