5.1 Main heat transfer fluids. Physico-chemical properties

Liquid metals currently used as heat transfer fluids, or at least extensively tested, include mercury (Hg), sodium (Na), sodium-potassium alloys (Na-K), lithium (Li), lead (Pb) and lead-bismuth alloys (Pb-Bi). Their melting and boiling temperatures are shown in table 3 .
