9. Conclusions

The absolute necessity of sharply lowering CO 2 emissions to combat climate change calls for a drastic reduction in the use of fossil fuels in every country in the world. This is a highly ambitious goal, since fossil fuels are the main source of the energy we need (80%), and their resources are limited. They must therefore eventually be replaced by the two major non-CO 2 emitting and inexhaustible energy sources, namely the energy released by nuclear fission and/or fusion and the various forms of energy involved in the operation of the solar atmospheric machine. As the development of the former is politically limited in the short and medium term, the only option left is the second, whose wind and photovoltaic forms are the most abundant and easy to develop.
