2. Ceramic tile manufacturing

From a technological point of view, ceramic tiles can be divided into four categories:

  • unglazed vitrified tiles :

    • porcelain tiles,

    • polished tiles,

    • vitrified porcelain stoneware tiles,

    • rustic stoneware tiles ;

  • glazed vitrified tiles :

    • the shard is often less vitrified than in the previous case and therefore slightly porous.

    • vitrified porcelain stoneware tiles,

    • rustic stoneware tiles ;

  • glazed porous tiles :

    • earthenware and terracotta tiles ;
