5. Metal strips

Metal strips and shapes are used to make watertight connections between tiles, and between tiles and other roof elements at special roofing points (eaves, valleys, verges, stump connections, etc.).

The standard shape and dimensions of these accessories are defined in a specific standard (NF P 34-402). Special strips and shapes must comply with the general characteristics and thicknesses specified in this standard (see table 7 ).

Certain connections, such as "dry" ridge or hip joints, or at the bottom of flues or roof windows, require the use of lead tables or strips. These must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm, unless the Avis Technique for specific prefabricated accessories favors lower thicknesses in the case of pleated...
