3. Quality brands

CEKAL

The Cekal association has developed a certification system (generally required in France). A marking is then applied to each product, on the spacer or on the glass (by ink in a corner). The marking includes :

• the commercial name of the product ;

• the manufacturing semester ;

• Plant no. ;

• an indication of suitability for use ;

• certified performance, i.e. :

• TR1 (Ug = 1.9) to TR10 (Ug = 1) for glazing with guaranteed thermal performance,

• AR1 (25 to 27 dB) to AR6 (37 dB and +) to define guaranteed acoustic performance,

• S to define safety performance: Sb (risk...
