2. Terminology

Everyone is invited to consider DTU 33.1 and product standard NF EN 13830, the meaning of which is reproduced below.

• Anchoring

  Elements sealed, welded or inserted into the main structure of the building (primary framework), designed to ensure the connection of facade fasteners to the shell.

• ATE

  (European Technical Approval). Opinion issued by an approval body (e.g. CSTB in France).

• ATEx

  (Appréciation technique d'expérimentation). Rapid procedure, conducted under the aegis of the CSTB, for the assessment of all products or processes not yet covered by a technical opinion or not defined by standards.
