4. Flue pipes
The scope of this article is limited to natural draught flues in residential buildings, excluding chimneys in boiler rooms, and to the ventilation of dwellings in these buildings.
The term "residential buildings" is used here in the sense of Decree no. 69-596 of June 14, 1969 (JO of June 15, 1969) laying down general rules for the construction of residential buildings.
Article 1 er of this decree reads as follows:
"The present decree is applicable, in all communes, to the construction of new residential buildings as well as to extensions to old residential buildings and additions to such buildings.
