With almost 80% of the French population living in towns and cities with more than 1,000 inhabitants, it has become necessary to invent lighting adapted to the new ways of getting around the city –, in particular soft means of transport, which are becoming more and more prevalent, to the detriment of vehicles. In response to the lack of time and daily stress, dawn and dusk are becoming popular times for activity and relaxation in the city, and need to be lit to ensure visibility and safety for pedestrians. Dynamic lighting techniques provide full lighting during periods of economic activity, followed by reduced lighting in the dead of night to protect people and property.
