2. Sealing profiles

Waterproofing profiles are used in two types of connections:

• sash-dormer ;

• filling application ;

• assemblies (necessarily of the mechanical type).

In all cases, the mode of operation is the same: to establish mechanical contact between the two elements of the connection over the widest possible range of movements. The characteristic that measures this capacity is the power of compensation.

On the other hand, checking for watertightness presupposes a certain mechanical reaction between the profile and the supports, in the areas of contact.
