 INTRODUCTION

As the name implies, installation involves fitting the joinery into the wall itself. It is codified in Document Technique Unifié (DTU) 36.1 (Afnor reference DTU P 23-201).

However, before starting work, it's important to choose the right structure.

Note: this document covers all joinery work, both exterior (windows, doors, shutters, etc.) and interior.

Window installation begins with the choice of performance according to the exposure of the site where they are to be installed.

This section is covered in [ C 2 610 , § 1.3] (DTU 36.1/ 37.1 or FD P 20-201).
