3. Maintenance and renovation at a glance

3.1 Maintenance

The first step is to ensure the tightness of fixed and mobile connections.

In the case of the former, it's essentially the glazing and infill elements; in the case of the latter, it's the profiles used to connect the sash to the frame.

Fittings and profiles must therefore be repaired or replaced when they no longer perform their function.

Then, if the exterior surface of the joinery is less weather-resistant, it needs to be maintained with finishes appropriate to the substrate.
