6. Industrial applications of carbon fiber composites

6.1 In Japan

The Japanese live in a region particularly hard hit by earthquakes, and own the vast majority of carbon fiber production lines. It was therefore only natural that, in the interests of development, they should one day turn their attention to building reinforcement. To this end, they formed an association (ACC Club) which today brings together the main fiber producers and potential users [9] .
