8. Progress through research

The aim of our research is to develop cements that meet users' needs and satisfy their requirements. It focuses on standardized products whose development, aided by modern manufacturing processes, is moving in the direction of quality, regularity, adaptation to function, but also energy savings during manufacture.

Research is also focused on developing cements or binders for specific applications: prefabrication, roadworks, repairs, low-dust cements, self-cleaning and pollution-removing cements, etc. (figure 7 ).
