2.1 Regulatory aspects

To guarantee the durability and strength of concrete over a period of 50 years (conventional buildings) to 100 years (civil engineering structures), it is essential to comply with strict standards and authorized clinker thresholds. In France, standard NF EN 206+A2/CN specifies the requirements applicable to:

  • concrete constituents (aggregates, hydraulic binders, water, etc.);

  • properties of fresh and hardened concrete (e.g., concrete strength) and their verification;
