2.1 Design principles

Like any large-scale project, a waterway project must be designed using a cross-disciplinary approach:

  • logistical optimization of navigation ;

  • quality approach ;

  • safety approach ;

  • operation and maintenance optimization approach ;

  • eco-design, environment and sustainable development ;

  • integration into the territory.
