2. Enriching functional analysis

Putting the artifact into perspective now allows us to reflect on functional analysis. By its very nature, functional analysis is the starting point for all human production. The aim of this exercise is to enrich this mode of reasoning and provide new capabilities in line with new requirements that can be described as societal.

The approach is developed in two stages.

First of all, we need to detail what specifies the function, i.e. the value criteria defined as the descriptors of the expected service. In fact, it is these criteria that will define the various dimensions that highlight the objective to be achieved. Under these conditions, it's easy to understand that it's these criteria that give meaning to the artifact, and that their number guarantees that complexity is taken into account.
