2. Examples of risk management in the construction industry

We have grouped together several distinct approaches to risk management applied to construction. At least three of these projects have recently been published, and two of them have been partly funded by national research programs in the USA and France.

There are many references on project management and risk management in projects:

• PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) from the Project Management Institute ;

• RAMP (Risk Analysis and Management for Projects) ;

• ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers);

• PRAM (Project Risk Analysis and Management – from the Association for Project Management).
